This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 6 months, with the possibility of extension(s).
Eligibility to Apply: This vacancy is to be filled within the WA Government Health System by secondment, temporary deployment, or Fixed Term Contract. Only current WA Government employees (including permanent, fixed term contract and those on secondment) are eligible to apply.
Position Profile:
Based in Bunbury, Western Australia, this role contributes to the delivery of human resource services across the South West region and provides support to managers and employees on a broad range of workforce matters.
Working closely with the Regional Manager Human Resources, the successful applicant will provide HR consultancy and advisory services, assist with employee and industrial relations matters, and support organisational and workforce change initiatives. As the organisation continues to evolve, the role will play an important part in supporting leaders to navigate change while maintaining effective workforce practices and service delivery outcomes.
This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of HR activities and engage with stakeholders throughout the region. Applicants should be comfortable working in a changing environment and adapting to evolving priorities and service delivery models.
Key Skills and Experience
We are seeking a capable HR professional with:
- Experience providing practical human resource advice across a broad range of employee and workforce matters.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with managers and employees at all levels.
- Experience supporting organisational change, workforce initiatives or service improvement activities.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks and contemporary HR practices.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, particularly when managing complex or sensitive issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of reports, correspondence and briefing materials.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
