The Role

As a Home Economics Assistant, you will assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs and support the care and supervision of students. You will help prepare and maintain the learning environment by ensuring equipment, materials, and resources are available for classes, displays, demonstrations, and activities, and are stored safely and appropriately following use. Courses offered include Caring for Children, Children Family & Community, and Barista Skills. Experience in these fields would be highly desirable. The role also involves supporting safe and hygienic food preparation practices, maintaining inventory records, monitoring stock levels, submitting requisitions for approval, and undertaking regular cleaning and maintenance activities as directed.

Suitable applicants should have a proactive and positive approach to the role and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will ideally be organised and efficient, able to prioritise tasks, use initiative, and contribute to a safe, well-maintained, and productive learning environment.
