About Finance
As part of the Capability and Performance Division, the Finance Directorate drives the delivery of financial planning, management, and accounting services for CITS. It plays a critical role in enabling strategic decision-making by providing expert advice, guidance, and reporting that supports the achievement of financial business plans and operational outcomes.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Finance Business Partner. In this role you will partner with the business to prepare and review internal budgets, forecasts and develop monthly management reports, including reports to the Corporate Executive on the Department’s finances.
The position also contributes to costings for budget submissions, business case development, and the preparation of financial plans. You will support the ongoing review and reporting of the Department’s financial and budgetary performance, undertake complex analysis, and assist the Director in developing financial strategies that support organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in financial management and reporting with experience in the preparation of budgets for a department and management reporting.
- Well developed conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to analyse financial information and provide reports on variations and trends.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and to clearly present financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet required timeframes.
We have one permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) position available.
