Executive Director New Women and Babies Hospital Project
This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment until 31 October 2028 with the possibility of extension(s).
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and committed leader for the role of Executive Director New Women and Babies Hospital Project at the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS).
This role will suit a highly capable executive who can navigate complexity, lead through change, and build trusted partnerships with executive colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality clinical services across a large and diverse health service.
About the Role
The Executive Director is responsible for, and provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and governance to the New Women and Babies Hospital Project (NWBHP), comprising six interdependent projects involving multiple Health Service Providers (HSPs). The role is accountable for program performance, outcomes, resources and risks, ensuring delivery in accordance with Government, Health and Public Sector policies, legislation and assurance requirements. Reporting to the Deputy Director General, Infrastructure, Medical Research and Innovation (IMRI), the Executive Director leads the program across strategic planning, design, construction, commissioning and transition to operations, ensuring that clinical, non‑clinical, infrastructure, workforce, corporate and digital activities are effectively coordinated to support timely, sustainable and successful delivery. The Executive Director works collaboratively with HSP Executives and is responsible for the delivery of financial and program performance.

The NMHS comprises a mix of tertiary, specialist, and generalist hospitals. Our north metropolitan catchment area covers almost 1000 square kilometres. Our population represents about 28 per cent of Western Australia’s total and is projected to grow to more than 0.9 million by 2031.
