Tapping Primary School opened in 2007 and is situated on Wadjuk Noongar boodja in the Wanneroo Education Network. We are an Independent Public School of approximately 500 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, guided by our vision of Creating Opportunities for every student to Learn, to Grow and to Connect.

At Tapping PS every child is known. Our teachers and allied professionals create supportive and engaging learning environments where academic achievement is nurtured alongside social, emotional and physical development. We are a school community growing with purpose, backed by strong families and a genuine sense of belonging. With excitement building as we prepare to celebrate our 20th year in 2027, there has never been a better time to join us and be part of the team that marks this milestone and shapes our next chapter.

Under the guidance of our classroom teachers, and with their full support, Education Assistants (Mainstream) should:

  • Prepare and maintain the learning environment – setting up equipment, materials, displays and resources, and making sure everything is packed away safely after activities
  • Support the care and supervision of students during both in and out-of-class activities, including student break times and assisting on excursions
  • Assist with the general care and wellbeing of students, including tending to minor illnesses and basic first aid
  • Assist students with personal care, including toileting where required
  • Assist with the organisation of classroom resources by maintaining inventory lists and monitoring stock levels

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and to make a real difference in the lives of our students every day.
