We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

We are actively seeking outstanding Education Assistants with exceptional interpersonal skills, a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. As an Education Assistant you would promptly contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development. 

The suitable applicants will work in a team environment through high levels of collaboration with their colleagues and committed to the delivery whole school programs, creating a learning environment that supports students wellbeing.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

  1. Demonstrated sound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals.
  2. Demonstrated sound interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
  3. Demonstrated sound organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programs to students.
  4. Demonstrated ability to assist with the general health and well-being of students.
