We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2027 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2028. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies commencing during this period.
North Mandurah Primary School (PS) is ideally seeking highly capable, relational and improvement-focused Deputy Principals to join our leadership team. We are an inclusive Kindergarten to Year 6 school that also incorporates an Autism Specialised Learning Program.

The Role
The Deputy Principal should work collaboratively with the Principal, leadership team and staff to advance the school’s vision, Business Plan and strategic priorities. They would lead whole-school improvement across teaching and learning and student services, contributing to a culture of trust, excellence and shared responsibility.
Suitable applicants should display expertise in leading high-impact, evidence-based teaching and strengthening consistent approaches to curriculum, assessment and instruction. They should possess strong knowledge of explicit teaching, literacy and numeracy development and the purposeful use of data to identify priorities, monitor student progress and evaluate the impact of teaching and intervention.
Applicants would ideally have the capacity to lead professional learning, coach staff and facilitate effective collaboration. They would be able to support the consistent implementation of agreed whole-school approaches, strengthen collective responsibility for student outcomes and promote professional reflection and growth.
Suitable applicants should also display expertise in student services and inclusive education, including supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, social, emotional and disability-related needs. They should have sound knowledge of early identification, case management, documented planning, reasonable adjustments, positive behavior support and multi-tiered systems of support. They will ideally work in partnership with teachers, education assistants, families, the school psychologist, specialist services and external agencies to ensure support is coordinated, responsive and maintains high expectations for every student.
We are ideally seeking visible, calm and relational leaders who exercise sound judgement, build trust and communicate effectively. Applicants should display the ability to establish respectful and productive partnerships with students, staff, families and the wider community.
As members of the executive leadership team, Deputy Principals would assist in contributing to the effective daily operation of the school, including the management of staff, resources, timetables, attendance, student behavior, duty of care and other operational priorities. They should be organised, adaptable and responsive to changing school needs.
Applicants should display strong capability across both teaching and learning and student services/Students At Educational Risk, together with the professional knowledge, relational leadership and operational skills required to contribute effectively as a whole-school leader.
