The Role

Leinster Community School is seeking passionate, innovative and student-focused leaders to join our Level 3 Deputy Principal Pool. Leinster Community School provides high-quality teaching and learning programs that support every student to achieve success. We encourage our students to shine.

As a member of the leadership team, Deputy Principals play a key role in leading school improvement, supporting staff development, building positive relationships and maintaining a strong focus on student achievement, wellbeing and engagement.

Working closely with the Principal and leadership team, Deputy Principals will provide educational leadership across K-12 programs, lead and support whole-school curriculum, support student wellbeing, attendance and behaviour processes, build positive partnerships with families and the wider community, use evidence and data to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes, contribute to a positive, collaborative culture and teach within their area of expertise as part of their leadership role. Strengths in instructional coaching, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and restorative practices are also important to this role, and applicants who display these capabilities will be highly regarded.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking leaders who demonstrate strong instructional leadership capabilities, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can build positive relationships with staff, students and families, are committed to continuous improvement and reflective practice, thrive in remote and regional settings and value community engagement and lead with integrity, optimism and a student-centred mindset.

Highly Desirable Teaching Areas

While applications from all experienced educators will be considered, applicants with expertise in the following learning areas are strongly encouraged to apply:
