About The Role
Are you an exceptional communicator with a talent for navigating complex issues, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-quality advice in a fast-paced environment? The Public Transport Authority is seeking a Corporate Issues Coordinator to play a pivotal role in managing Ministerial matters, Freedom of Information applications, and critical Government business activities that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
Working within the Corporate Issues Unit, you will be the key liaison between the PTA, Ministerial offices, Government agencies and internal stakeholders, supporting the effective management of Ministerial, Parliamentary and Freedom of Information matters. This diverse and influential role will see you preparing high-level correspondence, coordinating responses to complex requests, and delivering strategic support to senior leaders, Executive teams and transport portfolio agencies. Through strong stakeholder engagement, research and analysis, you will help ensure information is managed, communicated and delivered accurately, professionally and within critical timeframes.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes for the community while working at the centre of Government and corporate affairs. Combining business analysis, process improvement and stakeholder collaboration, the role offers variety, visibility and the opportunity to influence reporting, systems and organisational practices. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where your analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities will directly contribute to the success of the organisation.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and professional individual who can confidently manage sensitive information while building strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder environment. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to research, analyse and synthesise complex information into clear, concise and accurate correspondence, reports and briefing materials.
- Strong knowledge of Government, Parliamentary and legislative processes, including an understanding of Freedom of Information requirements and obligations.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and communicate effectively with senior leaders, government agencies and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to interpret information, identify trends and provide sound recommendations to support business and operational outcomes.
- Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently under pressure and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
- Sound digital literacy and proficiency across Microsoft Office applications and corporate information systems, with the ability to utilise technology to support reporting, administration and process improvement.
