We’re looking for someone who is passionate about having an impact on people development across the public sector by coordinating, designing, delivering and facilitating leadership programs.
At the Public Sector Commission we’re on a mission to create an innovative and future fit public sector for all Western Australians.
We now have this opportunity in our Strategic Leadership and Talent team whose work is all about having the very best people working in and leading the sector because that means even better services for communities.
The team is designing and rolling out exciting initiatives at the forefront of leadership and talent thinking to develop the capability of staff across the sector.
You’ll be responsible for a defined portfolio of leadership programs, coordinating and managing multiple priorities, meeting timelines and working to budgets. You’ll also facilitate courses and support external facilitators.
You’ll be skilled at collecting and analysing data and using insights to inform design, implementation and improvement.
While it’s great to have a qualification in a relevant discipline, this is not a requirement. We’ll look at all experiences and skills in leadership development.
We value diversity and understand diverse workplaces are more effective and innovative. So, no matter your background, including people with disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, we encourage you to apply.
You can request flexible work and leave arrangements, and there are additional employment benefits to help you balance work and other commitments.
Applying is easy…
If this is the role you’ve been waiting for, simply send us:
- a comprehensive CV that sets out your experiences and achievements in the context of this position
- contact details for 2 work referees, one being your current manager
- a covering letter of no more than 2 pages addressing the following 3 suitability requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in the design, delivery and facilitation of contemporary leadership development programs (you deliver on high leverage areas).
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify risks, analyse information and apply evidence based solutions to problems (you think through complexity).
- Demonstrated skills in managing multiple priorities and completing tasks to a high quality while meeting timelines and priorities; and identifying opportunities for improvement in the way work is planned and delivered (you lead collectively).
The closing date for this position is Monday 23 November 2026 at 4 pm.
For any problems submitting your application call the helpdesk on 1300 733 056.
Excitingly, for those we think are suitable (but are not recommended) for this position we can consider you for other similar positions or even pass on your details to other agencies – with your permission of course.
