The Warren Region is home to the well-known D’Entrecasteaux and Walpole Nornalup national parks as well as the recently created Walpole Wilderness area and Walpole Nornalup Inlets Marine Park. Many other parks and reserves as well as significant areas of State forest make up the majority of the land that we manage. The landscape of the region include a diversity of coastal heath, tall karri forests to open jarrah and wandoo woodlands to the remnant Tingle forest. The region has wetlands of international and national significance, pristine estuaries and wild rivers.
Our key service deliverables are nature conservation, parks and visitor services, sustainable forest management, and fire management.
We currently have an opportunity for a Conservation Employee - Road Management to join our team.
Under the direction of the Fire Operations Officer, this position applies specialist knowledge and experience to develop and undertake operational works programs which provide bridge, road and access trail maintenance and upgrades, across the district, including
- bridge, culvert and road management
- audit and inspections; and
- road, signage and traffic management works.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following three (3) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
- Evidence of ability to plan and implement works programs in an efficient manner, organise resources, determine day to day priorities and ensure best practice quality control measures are achieved.
- Experience in the use of equipment and the supervision of machine operations in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure relevant to the department.
- Evidence of sound writing skills including the proven ability to produce reports and programs and apply computer skills relevant to the requirements of the job.
