Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.

We are currently seeking P2 Senior Speech Pathologist/s to fill upcoming vacancies, with flexibility for part time or full time work, within the acute (general medicine) and ENT/Head and neck cancer streams. Please indicate the position you are applying for via cover letter.
The successful applicant/s works as part of a multidisciplinary team to:
- Undertake professional practice in accordance to the Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics, the Speech Pathology Australia Scope of Practice, the FSFHG Allied Health Credentialing Policy and Procedure and SMHS policies and guidelines.
- As part of the inter-disciplinary team, provides an advanced level of speech pathology clinical practice and expertise in both direct care delivery and support to other staff in the relevant clinical specialty area. The focus of the role is to provide advanced, high-quality assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing disorders, and contribute to the profession through application of evidence-based practice and policy.
- This role supports the Head of Department Speech Pathology in providing supervision to staff in the unit/clinical area, including allocating clinical duties and in managing performance.
- Acts as a Speech Pathology clinical consultant/resource to Speech Pathologists and other health professionals in the areas of specialty. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient safety and quality of care in the area of specialty.
