This is for a Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointment. Part- time appointments will be made with a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight.

We are looking for nurses with over two years theatre experience for immediate appointment. These vacancies exist in our Operating Theatres in the specialties of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. You are expected to coordinate the department and to function in other specialities collaborating within this dynamic team.
OPH Theatres currently operates Monday to Friday 0730 - 1800. Afternoon shifts to be introduced. Emergency Obstetric theatre cover is provided 7 days a week, 365 day a year service. On call roster is a mandatory provision of this role which includes weekend, public holiday and week-nights supporting Women’s & Newborn Services.
PACU and anaesthetic experience is not essential however mandatory requirement of this position.

What is our Clinical Nurse role?
This position, under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s), practises as a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart; provides advanced, comprehensive, and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team; upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity; acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition, and collaboration.
Applicants must have minimum of two (2) years theatre nurse experience with no APHRA restrictions, and provide high quality patient centred care adhering to hospital standards and safety protocols.
