We are seeking Clinical Nurses with recent relevant clinical experience in their specialty area. Please note that to be considered for work in certain specialty areas, you must have recent and significant experience in that specific area. This ensures familiarity with the procedures, protocols, patient care standards, and clinical leadership responsibilities unique to that area.

Experience Requirements

Emergency Department (ED) – 3 years recent Emergency Department experience, current ALS 1 (ALS 2 preferred) and triage competency.

Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) – 2 years recent experience in an acute medical setting with cardiac monitoring competency.

Paediatric Unit – 2 years recent Paediatric nursing experience, Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent is desirable or a demonstrated willingness and ability to obtain it

Special Care Nursery – 2 years recent Neonatal nursing experience with current Neoresus competency. Completion of the STABLE Program or equivalent is desirable or demonstrated willingness and ability to obtain.

Infection Prevention and Management – 2 years recent nursing experience, with previous experience or advanced clinical knowledge in infection prevention and management. Current immunisation certification, or demonstrated progression towards certification, is desirable.

Colyer/23HR Ward - 2 years recent experience in an acute surgical setting, with advanced clinical skills and knowledge across acute surgical specialties. Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.

EMHS is entering an exciting period of growth, following the completion of the WA Government's purchase of St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital. The acquisition adds up to 100 public beds and eight operating theatres to the public health system, enhancing capacity across the East Metropolitan region while supporting improved patient flow, expanded services and better access to care.
