We currently have Permanent appointments available within the Infant, Child, Adolescent Mental Health Services. Fixed Term appointments may be considered with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: Provides a community-based infant, child and adolescent mental health nursing service. Co-ordinates referrals & contacts for children and adolescents and their families. Conducts comprehensive mental health and risk assessments. Provides case management to complex clients. Provides information and support to clients & families, and liaison with other agencies as required.

1 - Advanced mental health assessment, triage and case coordination.

Demonstrated ability to provide advanced community-based mental health assessment, triage, risk management and case coordination for infants, children, adolescents and their families, using sound clinical judgement to manage complex and often competing priorities in a dynamic service environment.

Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and provide clinical leadership across multidisciplinary teams, families, carers, schools, health services and community partners to support coordinated, consumer-centred care and positive outcomes. 

3 - Governance, legislation and professional accountability

Demonstrated ability to apply relevant mental health legislation, professional standards and governance frameworks to support safe, ethical and accountable decision-making, particularly in situations involving clinical risk and vulnerable consumers. 

4 - Quality improvement and service development

Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, evidence-informed practice and service development through participation in evaluation activities, practice improvement initiatives and professional learning that enhance service effectiveness and consumer outcomes. 

5 - Autonomous community service delivery across the region
