About the Opportunity

The Clinical Nurse in the AKG Rehabilitation and Pallicative Care unit, as part of a multidisciplinary team provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence based nursing care is delivered to patients as well as facilitates and promotes patient safety and quality of care. The Clinical Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Area Profile

Armadale Health Service (AHS) is a 271-bed general hospital focused on providing a range of high-quality health care services in the community. The hospital, which is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group, is equipped with an Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit and provides high-quality general medical, surgical and mental health services and offers a range of Medical specialities including rehabilitation, maternity, paediatric and neonatal, renal medicine & dialysis services and ambulatory care. 

The Rehabilitation and Subacute Unit at Armadale Health Service provides inpatient therapy for 40 patients over 65 (and younger patients needing geriatric or specialized care) recovering from cardiac, orthopaedic, respiratory, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions. Inpatient Care: Focuses on recovery, functional improvement, and discharge planning

Kalamunda Hospital is a 30-bed specialist hospital and is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group. The hospital provides Specialist Palliative Care service and low risk endoscopic day surgery services.
