Position Profile: The successful applicant will provide advanced clinical nursing practice and governance to ensure safe and quality patient care, and provide nursing leadership and management to ensure the provision of effective and efficient services. In addition, This position will support the Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager and regional management team in developing and implementing initiatives for including progression of the health reform strategy, continuous quality improvement and improving patient safety.

Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Registration and Professional Practice

 Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and relevant legislative, policy and professional requirements.

Leadership and Resource Management

 Demonstrated clinical leadership and management skills, including the ability to coordinate and optimise human and material resources to achieve strategic, operational and service delivery outcomes.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

 Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement

 Demonstrated experience in the application of clinical governance principles, including continuous quality improvement, change management, clinical risk management and accreditation processes.

Digital Literacy and Organisational Compliance

 Proficiency in the use of information systems and technology, with a demonstrated commitment to Equal Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Public Sector Standards, Disability Services and Aboriginal Cultural Respect principles in service delivery and employment practices.
