Position Profile: The Clinical Nurse Manager provides leadership and direction to the multidisciplinary team of the Mental Health observation area and Consultation Liaison services in Bunbury Hospital The position is accountable for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets. As a key leader the Clinical Nurse Manager will ensure that the service meets the requirement for delivery of a patient centred care against key performance indicators: quality, budget and human resource. The position provides clinical expertise and clinical leadership for mental health services to relevant internal and external customers.

Clinical Leadership in Acute Mental Health Services

Demonstrated ability to use evidence, data and critical analysis to evaluate services, identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions that strengthen clinical governance, safety, quality outcomes and compliance with relevant standards and legislation.

Highly developed ability to build productive relationships, communicate effectively and influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams, consumers, carers, senior leaders and external stakeholders in complex and sensitive environments.

Workforce Leadership and Capability Development

Demonstrated ability to lead, support and develop a diverse workforce by fostering a culture of accountability, learning, professional growth, wellbeing and continuous improvement while optimising team performance and service outcomes.

Organisational and Safe Service Delivery

Demonstrated ability to manage services within legislative, regulatory and organisational frameworks, balancing workforce, resource and operational demands while promoting safety, inclusion, accountability and effective service delivery within a regional healthcare setting.
