This position is offered as a Fixed term or Permanent Part Time appointment (72 hours per fortnight). Appointments made on a fixed term basis may lead to an extension and/or permanency.
About the opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager - After Hours at Kununurra Hospital. In this role you’ll be responsible for leading the health care team to provide safe and high quality evidenced based clinical care for patients and their families within the service area and within available resources. Ensuring standards of nursing practice and implementing changes to clinical practice within service area. Plans, organises, directs and coordinates all work arrangements that fall under the jurisdiction of the Clinical Nurse manager After Hours.

To be successful in this role you will
- Experience working in a busy Emergency department
- Have ED triage, ALS, PLS and NNR competency
- Works effectively in a team environment, communicates clearly to support and guide and work with others to support the afterhours operational management of the hospital sites.
- Ability to organise and prioritise competing demands across the hospital sites including human resource and facilities management.
- Ability to make decisions in fast paced environment and escalate to executive on call as needed.
