What is our Clinical Midwife role?

This position provides continuity of midwifery care during the antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum periods as a member of the midwifery group practice for women who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. In accordance with the ANMC Competency Standards for Midwives, the Code of Ethics and professional conduct for midwives, the Clinical Midwife will work as part of a collaborative team with medical and allied health practitioners with the emphasis on the provision of safe, effective care which is culturally sensitive, and meets the needs of individual women and their families.
