The Role

Applications are invited for the position of Claims Resolution Officer (Workers’ Compensation).

The position plays a key role in assisting the Team Leader in the mentoring of Claims Officers to deliver an optimal claims management service and achieve key performance outcomes. As well as providing a strategic approach to the resolution of claims including taking responsibility for raising and responding to Conciliation and Arbitration matters.

We have one permanent and one 12-month fixed term position with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

The Person

You bring strong capability in coaching, mentoring and facilitating knowledge transfer, supporting the development of colleagues and fostering continuous learning. Building and maintaining strong relationships to deliver high-quality customer service, using influence and collaboration to achieve positive outcomes. As well as working effectively within a team environment, contributing to shared goals and maintaining productive working relationships.

You will be an effective communicator, with the ability to engage clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will possess comprehensive knowledge of workers' compensation claims management, including the application of risk management and injury management principles and practices to support positive claim outcomes, facilitate recovery, and promote employee wellbeing.

Appointment Information

In addition to the immediately available position, appointments may be made from this process within a twelve-month period to similar positions that may be permanent or contract, including fixed term appointments with the possibility of extension or subsequent permanency.
