Lead audits with impact

Are you an experienced financial auditor ready to lead teams and deliver high-impact audit outcomes across the WA Public Sector?

As an Audit Manager within Financial Audit at the Office of the Auditor General you will lead and manage assurance audit teams, overseeing the planning, execution and reporting on audits of financial statements, controls and key performance indicators.

You will manage audit resources, budgets and timelines, review audit work, and provide clear direction and advice to support high-quality, evidence-based audit outcomes. You will also identify and escalate significant audit matters and ensure audits comply with relevant standards, legislation, OAG methodology and quality requirements.

As a people leader, you will coach and support team members, build technical capability and professional judgement, and foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • considerable experience leading audit teams and delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • strong capability in applying and interpreting accounting and auditing standards
  • the ability to review audit work, exercise sound professional judgement and provide clear technical direction
  • effective coaching and performance management skills to support team development.

We are establishing a recruitment pool to fill full time and part time, permanent and fixed term vacancies that may arise within 6-months of completion of this process. Fixed term appointments may have the possibility of extension or permanency.
