This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Role
The successful applicant should provide strategic educational leadership across the school community, working collaboratively with the Principal and members of the School Leadership Team. In this role, the Associate Principal is responsible for key operational systems and processes, including RTP, DAM, Connect, Compass and Kaartdijin, ensuring the effective management of school operations. They will ideally provide guidance, support, and expert advice to teaching and non-teaching staff, enabling them to perform their roles effectively and contribute to the achievement of the school's strategic objectives.
The Associate Principal plays a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture by promoting strong relationships between students, staff, parents, carers, and the wider community. As a member of the Executive Team, they should support, develop and manage middle leaders, building leadership capacity and ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and student outcomes across the school. A key focus of the role includes supporting the College's whole school pedagogy, Instructional Intelligences, and providing instructional leadership and compliance with the Department's Quality Teaching Strategy.
As the Associate Principal responsible for Inclusive Education, the successful applicant will ideally display a strong understanding of Disability Resourcing System (DRS) funding processes and evidence-based practices that support students with neurodiversity and disability. Working closely with the Head of Learning Area (Inclusive Education), they should lead and oversee initiatives that enable students with disabilities to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a secondary school environment. They will ideally champion inclusive practices, support staff in meeting diverse student needs, and ensure that all students have equitable access to learning opportunities and pathways for success.
The College values and promotes staff voice at all levels of the organisation, providing opportunities for leadership growth, professional development, and strategic contribution. In allocating portfolio responsibilities, consideration is given to individual strengths, expertise, and areas of interest to maximise both staff engagement and organisational effectiveness. Accordingly, the leadership and management of other key operational areas and strategic priorities may be incorporated into these core duties in consultation with the Principal.
