About the Opportunity

Allied Health Assistants at Armadale Kalamunda group work in our mental health, rehabilitation, medical and surgical wards at Armadale, Community Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy outpatients at Armadale and palliative care ward and day hospice at Kalamunda. 

Allied Health assistants support the delivery of care by supporting allied health professionals with the provision of patient programs including group and individual therapy and related activities in the assigned work area. Inpatient mental health and medical and surgical work areas include some weekend shifts.

This is a recruitment pool for permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, fixed term part time, casual appointment/s with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. 

Upcoming vacancies include:

•    3 day per week on our Kalamunda palliative care ward – with option of working shorter hours across 4 days. 
•    Part-time to full-time on our Armadale mental health wards, role require contributing to some weekend rosters. 
•    Part-time to fulltime position on our Armadale medical and surgical wards. 
•    Casual leave relief in various areas. 

This pool will also be used for future vacancies in other areas at AKG. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur within the next 12 months.

Armadale Health Service (AHS) is a 271-bed general hospital focused on providing a range of high-quality health care services in the community. The hospital, which is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group, is equipped with an Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit and provides high-quality general medical, surgical and mental health services and offers a range of Medical specialities including rehabilitation, maternity, paediatric and neonatal, renal medicine & dialysis services and ambulatory care. Kalamunda hospital provides inpatient palliative care, a palliative care day hospice and endoscopy services.
