This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2027
Warwick Senior High School (SHS) is a modern and progressive secondary school located in the northern suburbs of Perth. Ideally situated, it is a school with a strong tradition of academic excellence together with a caring and supportive environment where students are given every opportunity to be successful in their chosen pathways.
Students typically come from the local primary schools, as well as schools outside of boundary. Students are attracted to Warwick SHS because of the special academic, arts and sporting programs offered, particularly, the Academic Extension Program and the specialist Netball and Australian Rules Football programs. There is also a very strong Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) program which extends and challenges students in all of the above areas.

The Role
Warwick SHS is ideally seeking for a practical, hands-on Facilities Officer who takes pride in maintaining high-quality grounds, buildings and equipment. The position is ideal for someone with experience in gardening, irrigation, turf management, garden beds and facilities maintenance.
Working closely with the Principal and Manager Corporate Services, you would play an important role in ensuring our school remains a safe, functional and welcoming place for students, staff and the wider community. You would coordinate day to day maintenance activities, identify and address facility issues, organise repairs and manage contractors, assist with minor works projects, and help maintain the presentation and functionality of the school's grounds and infrastructure.
In this role you would provide general administrative support and assist the Manager Corporate Services to monitor cleaning and gardening services. You would ensure facilities, equipment, buildings and school buses are maintained and organised to support daily operations.
The position requires initiative and the ability to build positive relationships with contractors, suppliers and school staff. You would be responsible for identifying maintenance issues before they become a larger problem, coordinating repairs, monitoring grounds and irrigation systems, and make a meaningful contribution to the school community.
The successful applicant should display good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to deal with individuals at all levels.
