Wage: $60,706 per annum
Full Time – One (1) year contract (with possible extension or permanency)
Kings Park and Botanic Garden has iconic status as Perth’s premier park incorporating the Western Australian Botanic Garden, expansive treed parklands and around 270 hectares of remnant bushland. It is the most visited tourist destination in Perth and offers a prestigious work environment to its employees, among some of the highest profile gardens in the State. The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority also manages Bold Park, an outstanding 437 hectare coastal bushland reserve ten kilometres west of Perth.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified full time Arborist to join our small but passionate Arboriculture team, responsible for high standards of tree care and management within Kings Park and Bold Park. This position will play an active role in team activities and coordination of works, and requires specific demonstrated experience in Arboricultural tree climbing and rigging techniques. It offers great exposure to current and diverse arboriculture techniques and is available for one (1) year with the possibility of extension or permanency. This vacancy is being offered on a fixed-term basis due to the uncertainty of ongoing funding for the position.
