About the Role
This position is responsible for the provision of coordination, support and advice regarding individuals with complex needs and/or interfaces with multiple government and other agencies within a region.
The Regional Intensive Support Coordinator provides a key interface between local stakeholders and the Local Coordination team, gathering and sharing information to provide enhanced access to supports and services for individuals with complex needs.
The position provides consultation, coordination, support and advice to Area Managers and Local Coordinators to ensure quality supports and services to people with disability and their family and carers in complex situations.
Location
This position will be located in Broome but will be expected to travel across the Pilbara region.

In the context of this position:
- Demonstrated experience in a human services background.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and planning support options for people with disability in complex situations, including experience in evaluating support needs.
- Demonstrated capacity to liaise, negotiate and communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability in planning, developing and implementing consultation processes.
- Ability to analyse processes and make recommendations for policy development and process improvement.

Special requirements
- Appointment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
- A current driver’s licence and ability to travel in response to organisational needs.
