About the role
South Regional TAFE is seeking Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified people who are interested in casual/relief lecturing and/or workplace training and assessment positions. There is no guarantee of work; the aim is to develop a register of casual staff for relief purposes or to offer training in specific areas of expertise as the need arises.
The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the Institute and industry, where appropriate.
Remuneration is in accordance with the WA TAFE Lecturers’ General Agreement 2014, the level paid is dependent on the course being delivered.
People who possess relevant industry qualifications and a minimum five years’ industry experience or teaching experience are encouraged to register.
It is preferred that candidates already possess a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110).
Those without the above are still eligible to register, however SR TAFE may require the recommended candidate to obtain this qualification prior to appointment, irrespective of holding other adult education qualifications.
