This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment until 31/12/2016 with the possibility of extension(s). This position is currently based at Fremantle and may relocate to Perth later.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated candidate for the role of Aboriginal Health professional who will deliver health education, health liaison, health promotion and clinical programs to the Aboriginal community within the East Metropolitan Aboriginal Podiatry and Nutrition Service (Moorditj Djena) as identified by the EMHS Aboriginal Health Team. The successful applicant will liaise, case manage, advocate and negotiate with Aboriginal communities and health professionals in the Metropolitan are in the development, planning and implementation of culturally appropriate Aboriginal Health Services. The occupant of this position will provide cultural and community consultancy to East Metropolitan Community and Population Health Services staff.
