The Role
The successful applicant will be joining a team of successful English teachers who deliver high levels of student achievement across a range of English courses. We are seeking a teacher who ideally has outstanding knowledge of the English curriculum, with a proven ability to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that support students to achieve academic success. A demonstrated capacity to teach ATAR English, and/or to provide targeted intervention and literacy support that helps all students reach their potential, will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will work across Years 7 to 12 and bring their expertise to the English Learning Area, applying their knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum. The applicant will ideally be student focused, highly motivated and innovative. Applicants that possess excellent interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic, and able to work cooperatively in a large collaborative Learning Area team is desired. Strong classroom management skills, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs, and to practice a range of high-impact teaching strategies are highly desirable.
The ability and initiative to work well with colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in applications.
