The Role
Gilmore College is seeking to employ a dedicated English Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant should have high expectations, with a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and can have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. You should be a flexible and adaptive teacher, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching using the Gilmore College Whole School Instructional Model. An ability to teach English across all year levels from Years 7 – 12 is highly desirable.
The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication and interpersonal skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students. Your input in a high functioning team of English teachers will be valued and lead to potential leadership opportunities in the areas of pedagogy, sustainability and curriculum.
