The Role
The Structured Workplace Learning Support Officer will support students undertaking work placements and conduct workplace visits as required. You will also assist with locating and securing appropriate industry placements with existing and new workplace partners, ensuring they adhere to the Duty of Care for Public School Student policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills to support students from diverse backgrounds. These skills will also be used to work collaboratively with staff to improve student outcomes. Support to staff will also include maintaining databases, preparing relevant paperwork and correspondence, provision of reports and monitoring student data as required.
In supporting every student to be on a pathway to a successful future, the Structured Workplace Learning Support Officer will work closely with students to ensure that they are meeting the demands of the Workplace Learning program to support Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) achievement. They should form collaborative relationships with the Vocational Education and Training (VET) teachers, employers, students, and parents.
