We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teacher’s for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

At Samson PS we have a Specialist Learning Program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Students within this program spend time within mainstream classes daily. Our students are provided with opportunities across all learning areas, including specialist instruction in the areas of Physical Education, Science, Indonesian, and Art. Talented students have additional opportunities to participate in the Primary Extension and Challenge and School of Instrumental Music programs in Years 5 & 6. The Role
The suitable applicants will ideally be enthusiastic and highly motivated with exemplary teaching practice. They should effectively work in learning environments characterised by a strong commitment to professional growth and collaborative team structures in diverse classroom settings. In alignment with our whole school approach, we also seek applicants who will ideally be interested in teaching in our Specialised Learning Program (SLP). Suitable applicants interested in our SLP, will be able to deliver specialised learning programs to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to access mainstream educations, using evidence based practice and pedagogy to meet the needs of students with ASD. Experience in an education support context is desirable.
All suitable applicants should establish strong, positive, and productive relationships with students, peers and the wider school community. They should have strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches aligned with the school’s strategic and operational plans.
