The Role
We are seeking highly skilled teachers with a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum and are highly proficient in engaging and motivating students.
Suitable applicants should be professional, enthusiastic and team orientated educators with the ability to plan for school improvement and student performance using and responding to all data sources, ensuring curriculum and pedagogical development is current and ongoing. They will ideally have a focus on the use of high impact strategies to ensure all students achieve the highest educational outcomes. It will be desirable for applicants to possess an understanding of innovative, evidence-based learning for example, Talk for Writing/InitiaLit.
Suitable applicants will implement school-wide literacy and numeracy programs, the school’s explicit teaching instructional model, and social and emotional programs that meet the needs of our students. Applicants will ideally engage and value collaborative planning sessions to develop consistent learning programs that utilise whole school assessment data and to implement a range of teaching and learning strategies. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.
Our school has a focus on professional learning teams, including peer observation and effective feedback. We are ideally looking for teachers who work together to create classrooms where students are engaged, challenged, and are supported to learn.
