This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 4, 2024 with possible extension.

Southern Cross DHS, located in the Eastern Wheatbelt, provides contemporary education for around 60 students from Kindergarten to Year 10. The Role
The successful applicant will work with the Principal to provide curriculum and instructional leadership within the context of the School’s Strategic and Operational Plans, ensuring curriculum is relevant, rigorous, and inclusive of all students. Southern Cross DHS is proud to be a Quality Teaching Strategy Initiative School and works to implement evidence-based best practice teaching in line with Teaching for Impact. Experience in case management processes and personalised learning, to support students ‘At Educational Risk’ is highly regarded. The ideal applicant will work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and maintain a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, rigorous, and addresses the key learning needs of students academically, socially, and emotionally.
You should be highly motivated, reflective, and enthusiastic and will ideally have previous successful leadership experience within your current role. Teachers and school administrators employed at Southern Cross District High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive of $17,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
