West Northam Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of highly motivated and enthusiastic Kindergarten to Year 6 teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. We have one, full-time, permanent position to fill from Term 4 2024.

Northam is a vibrant regional centre, only 50 minutes from Midland, and West Northam PS is one of three public schools in Northam. We have around 150 students, which allows staff to really get to know the students and build great relationships with all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Among the many advantages of joining our team are:
- Our highly skilled early childhood and senior team leaders who are available to mentor and coach new teachers in our whole school programs and Teaching for Impact strategies.
- We provide professional learning in our whole school programs and ensure that all teachers have the resources needed to successfully implement the programs.
- Our literacy and numeracy programs are evidence-based and align with the Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact:
- Seven Steps Writing,
- PLD Phonics/Spelling,
- MiniLit Sage (both withdrawal intervention and in-class delivery by our trained education assistants),
- Top Ten Maths.
- Every classroom has an interactive LED panel, and every student is provided with an iPad or laptop to ensure they receive the highest level of instruction using the latest in technology.
- We are a Country Teaching Program (CTP) school, where teachers receive an additional allowance, and after two years at a CTP school, teachers gain permanency.
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is well established at West Northam PS, and together with the acclaimed 123 Magic and Emotion Coaching, we maintain an orderly learning environment where high quality teaching and learning can thrive.
- All classes are allocated additional education assistant time to provide support in teaching and learning for our students.
- Government Regional Officer's Housing (GROH) is available for teachers in Northam.
