The Ideal Teacher
Suitable applicates will ideally be outstanding classroom practitioners who can continue and enhance current school practices. As new staff members you should implement school-wide practices such as Cracking the Code, Letters and Sounds, Positive Behaviour Support, Talk for Reading, Quality Teaching Strategy and explicit teaching. Knowledge and experience implementing daily reviews within a Literacy and Numeracy Block is highly desirable. An ability to rigorously analyse student performance data, continually monitor the impact your teaching is having on student learning outcomes and provide a differentiated curriculum will be favourably considered. Physical Education applicants with a knowledge of KIDDO would be highly desirable.
Suitable applicants should be enthusiastic and highly motivated as well as possessing exemplary teaching skills. You will ideally be able to work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, possess well developed interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to professional growth and collaborative team structures.
The ability to establish strong, positive and productive relationships with students, peers and the wider school community will be well regarded. Working collaboratively with staff members, in order to implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans is also highly desirable.
