The Opportunity:

Whether you are a recent graduate or come from a career in mining, agriculture, industry or government your skills and knowledge can transfer into a rewarding role as an Environmental Officer in our Compliance and Enforcement Directorate.

The Compliance and Enforcement Directorate are looking to establish a pool of suitable skilled applicants to fill immediate and future vacancies for Environmental Officers at Specified Callings Levels 1 and 2, typically ranging from graduates through to people with 3-4 years relevant experience, and Senior Environmental Officers at Specified Calling Level 3, typically for people with more than 5 years’ experience (see attached Position matrix for further information on capabilities). The department is looking for suitable candidates across Perth and all regions of Western Australia. Environmental Officers in the Compliance and Enforcement Team undertake a wide range of environmental investigation, response and compliance based investigative roles across an equally wide range of industries and activities.

We currently have multiple immediate vacancies to fill across the directorate including permanent and fixed term, full and part-time opportunities which may be extended or made permanent.

  • Environmental Response, Intelligence and Environmental Crime
  • Native Vegetation Clearing and Compliance

This pool will operate for a period of twelve (12) months with vacancies being offered at part or full time on a permanent or fixed term contract basis with the possibility of extension or permanency. Pool applicants do not hold a right of review against appointment decisions made from the pool.
