About the role
Bremer Bay is a small, close-knit community with excellent facilities. The school has 30 students across two multi-age groups. We are looking for exceptional teachers who possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and are committed to supporting all students to achieve excellent educational growth. Successful applicants would be committed to improving outcomes for every student, every day, through our whole school approaches using evidence-based instructional strategies. Successful applicants will promote, model, and maintain high expectations and teach using whole school approaches that are evidence-based and supported by research.
Successful applicants will ideally possess proficiency in current and effective teaching practice have knowledge of and experience in using High Impact Teaching Strategies and support the school’s strategic goals and directions. Applicants should have a solid capacity to plan challenging, differentiated and engaging programs for multi-age groups using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Our school
Bremer Bay PS is located in the south west of Western Australia and is 180km east of Albany. Established in 1953, we cater for students from Kindergarten through to Year 6.
Our school is well established and maintained, providing an excellent educational environment for both students and staff. The school comprises of an administration building, library, multi-purpose room, upper primary classroom and a purpose-built early childhood classroom.

Bremer Bay is a beautiful coastal town situated on the south coast of Western Australia in the Great Southern region between Albany and Esperance, at the mouth of the Bremer River on the southern edge of the Fitzgerald River National Park. Bremer Bay is 515 kilometres southeast of the state capital, Perth, and 180 kilometres east of Albany.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
