Shenton College are seeking to establish a pool of Mathematics Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants should be expert, passionate teachers of Mathematics, with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. You should be able to demonstrate the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary Mathematics curriculum from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning through to senior secondary courses.
As a prosperous large school, the College employs over thirty Mathematics teachers, some of whom will teach within one of our dedicated Middle School Communities (Years 7 and 8), while others will be in our Senior Schools teaching from Year 9 to Year 12. Over their time at Shenton College, staff will generally have the opportunity to alternate between the Middle and Senior schools. We anticipate there will be several Mathematics positions available for 2023.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
