Appointment Pool
Cape Naturalist College is seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education - Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2023.
Suitable applicants will have a passion for secondary education and the desire to impart their skills and knowledge as a member of our college. You will ideally need to be self-motivated, prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities and work proactively within our community.

Suitable applicants should also have an excellent capacity to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, students and the community and be able to articulate a clear vision that complements and supports the College’s excellent culture in teaching and learning. You will ideally have displayed successes when teaching students in Physical & Health Education, as well as the capacity to evaluate and improve your own performance through careful reflection. Knowledge of the curriculum area, ability to work in a team environment and a willingness to be a part of a strong and supportive pastoral care system that runs through the College is highly valued.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
