The Role The key responsibilities of this position are to design rail and road alignments using 12D or Bentley Power Rail track. You will then be able to transfer those alignments into drawings using AutoCAD or Bentley Microstation that can be understood by stakeholders with a non-technical background. You will use your understanding of applying geometric requirements, design and setting out of civil engineering route works conforming to the requirements of PTA’s passenger railways. This is a demanding role that offers many challenges across various projects within the PTA and the right person will thrive on the opportunities that may be offered. Who we are looking for We are looking for applicants who possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent with eligibility for Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (Australia). Alternatively, applicants must have significant relevant work experience in a related field. The successful applicant will have experience in the design of civil works of railways and be able to showcase their sound understanding and application of the geometric requirements, design and setting out of civil engineering route works of railways.
