Moora Residential College is seeking to establish a pool of Female Boarding Supervisors appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2022.

The Boarding Supervisor – Female is responsible for providing quality supervision and pastoral care for boarders in line with Department of Education policies and procedures.

Moora Residential College is situated in the Wheatbelt town of Moora and caters for boarders from years 7 to 12 who attend Central Midlands SHS. Our expected number of boarders for 2022 is 35.

Moora Residential College has a small, friendly and professional staff who willingly work together as a team to provide the best possible care for our boarders. Housing may be provided depending on availability. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person who will be able to work well both in a team environment and with minimal supervision

Eligibility and Training Requirements

Employees will be required to:

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; 
  • obtain or hold (and maintain) a current Working with Children Check;
  • work according to rostered hours which may include nights, weekends and public holidays;
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy;
  • Obtain before commencing their first rostered shift with students and maintain a current:
    • First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID001); and
    • First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID003);
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement of employment;
  • Within six months of commencement of employment obtain and maintain a current:
    • a LR Class Driver’s Licence with PTD authorisation;
    • a Senior First Aid Certificate;
    • an Aquatic Rescue for Group lll Pool;
  • Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision Making within six months of commencement of employment; and
  • Obtain a Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42015) within six months of commencement of employment.

Dependent on operational requirements as determined by College Manager.
