What we are looking for in a Graduate
We are interested in hearing from if you have recently, or within the last two years, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Graduates from all disciplines are encouraged to apply, however the following disciplines and areas of study have been identified as desirable.

Environmental sustainability is one of the fastest growing sectors within the world employment market, and vital for just about every field of work. Our department is on the forefront of environmental legislation, sustainability and developing responses to climate change.
We work closely with leaders in the mining, engineering, transport, resource, urban and regional planning and development, tourism, construction, and agricultural sectors. We partner with local and state industry and educational institutions and have a global presence in our programs and projects.
Our 12-month program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful career in the Western Australian public sector and our customised rotation plan, designed around our needs and your interests, provides you with opportunities to experience and work on state-wide projects and initiatives.

Initial employment is on a fixed term basis, commencing in February 2022, with transition to permanent employment following performance evaluation and successful completion of the 12-month program.
All suitable applicants will be placed in a recruitment pool. This pool will be valid for 6 months and may be used to fill similar fixed term or permanent opportunities in a variety of locations.
Salary and classification will depend on your qualification and placement.
Level 3, $72,896 - $78,717 pa OR Specified Calling Level 1, $70,165 - $94,345 pa.
