This is a 2021 Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile: The Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group serves the entire Western Australia population south of the Swan river & situated in Perth. FSH started operations on 3 February 2015 and is a quaternary care institute with its transplantation service. It is also recently recognized as the busiest trauma centre in WA. The position is in an exciting department with a vision to be a renowned academic plastic & reconstructive surgery centre. The fellow will develop experience in chronic wound care, all aspects of surgery inclusive of the following areas - Head & Neck, Breast, Hands, Lower Limb & Skin Malignancies . The department works in close collaboration with the state rehabilitation centre for the care of pressure injuries.  The department is an integral part of the FSH breast cancer Multidisciplinary Disciplinary Team, Head & Neck MDT, Sate Rehabilitation MDT & its own Skin cancer MDT. The fellow will be expected to teach & conduct research.  The supervision of the trainees and junior surgical staff  is a critical role for the fellow as we realize our full teaching/training and service commitments.

Area Profiles: Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
