Practical Legal Training (PLT) - 2019 Work Experience Program

The Practical Legal Training (PLT) Work Experience Program will run during 2019.
Participants in the program will work under the supervision of the Legal Practice Development division and an appointed Legal Aid WA lawyer to complete tasks in the workplace.
Hours are flexible and may be completed as a block or over a number of weeks, but must be completed within a maximum period of six months. Applicants should express a preference for intake in the first or second half of 2019.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be law graduates or completing their final year of a law degree in 2018, and seeking to complete work experience hours as part of their practical legal training requirements.
Regional placements may be available, however Legal Aid WA will not cover any travel or accommodation costs associated with these placements.
The following dates apply to the PLT Work Experience Program recruitment and selection process for 2019:
Applications open: 6 November 2018
Applications close: 1 December 2018 (5pm WST)
An induction day will be held in January for successful applicants commencing in the first half of 2019, and another in June for those commencing in the second half of the year (dates yet to be confirmed).
