This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 5 years.

We currently have two appointments available: One is responsible for the operational leadership and management of Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Health Care Group, and one is responsible for the operational leadership and management of Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: We are currently seeking candidates who possess a demonstrable track record of successful tertiary hospital leadership, organisational wide governance and policy knowledge, and management of significant resources within budget. They will have exceptional stakeholder management skills across a wide range of people and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Executive Director,  Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group (Ref S14028)

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) opened in 2014 and is a state-of-the-art, 783-bed hospital. It offers a full range of specialist services with 83 per cent single patient rooms and top of the line technology across the hospital. Services also include the 140-bed State Rehabilitation Service, a 30-bed purpose-built mental health unit and the State Burns Service.

Set in more than five hectares of natural bushland, landscaped parks, internal gardens and courtyard, FSH is located in Murdoch, 15kms south of the Perth CBD and 9kms east of Fremantle.

Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgery and specialist medical care. Fremantle Hospital has a long history of delivering high quality patient care.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching hospitals with 600 beds and is located 4km from Perth city centre.  Both SCGH and Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) offer a strong and committed staff and community cultures built up over many years.

SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's largest cancer treatment centre, and is the provider of key  Statewide  services, including  neurosurgery liver transplants, and stroke recovery. 

OPH is a highly-regarded 231 bed community general hospital providing comprehensive specialist health care services including Rehabilitation and Aged Care, Surgical and Women’s and Newborn. OPH and its workforce are critical in NMHS delivery of its elective surgery activity.
