Senior Project Coordinator

This is a eight (8) month fixed term, full-time position commencing February 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Road Safety and Drug Education branch delivers specialised prevention education to keep children and young people safe. The programs are designed to contribute to the reduction of road related injuries and harm from alcohol and other drug use. Its education strategies and resources are designed to build the capacity of teachers and schools to implement evidence-based school alcohol and other drug and road safety education programs.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of our branch projects. This role is integral to achieving our organisational objectives, including resource management, website and digital development, community product development, and promotional activities, all in alignment with Department policies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will conduct research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision-making. They will develop high-quality road safety and drug education resources and provide expert advice and information to key stakeholders. This support will ensure project delivery aligns with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives, and Department priorities. Additionally, the Senior Project Coordinator will collaborate across Statewide Services and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project coordination skills, experience in research and evidence-based project planning, excellent strategic communication and negotiation abilities, and the capability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain effective relationships.
