The Role
The Manager Corporate Services (MCS) is responsible for implementing sound consistent management and budgeting practices and systems. The successful applicant will ideally have well established financial management capabilities, be a strategic financial leader and possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You should also review current school financial practices, implement improvements, and have experience in using the Schools Resourcing System. You will ideally be flexible and reliable and able to work independently with autonomy. Proven experience in a Primary School setting would be highly regarded.
The MCS is expected to have experience using the Compass platform. Training will be provided for the migration process of both Compass and Integris. Additionally, it would be advantageous if the MCS possesses experience or training in trauma-informed practices, such as those offered by Berry Street Education. Our PBS school values—Respect, Integrity, Safety, Excellence, and Resilience—are integral to daily practices, and all staff are expected to exemplify these values consistently.
The MCS will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with both students and parents. As the face of the school, the MCS is expected to engage with the school community in a warm, approachable, and professional manner. Their ability to communicate effectively and build trust will contribute to maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for all, ensuring that families feel valued and students’ needs are met with care and attention.
The successful applicant will work with the Administration Support Team on delivering improved outcomes. As a member of the leadership team, the MCS will share the responsibility for inspiring and leading support staff in their commitment to the core values of the school and will provide strategic advice on financial and physical resourcing processes.
The MCS is intrinsically involved in the implementation of the school's Business Plan and the implementation of changes necessary for the progression of our priorities. The successful applicant should also have a broad understanding of relevant legislation, reporting and governance requirements relating to the role, and effectively display the ability to lead a team of school support staff.
