Leonora District High School (DHS) is seeking a Teacher - Secondary Generalist to join their friendly team.
Located in the Goldfields-Esperance region, north of Kalgoorlie, Leonora DHS caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The Role
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and driven Teacher - Secondary Generalist to join our team and play a critical role in transitioning back to face-to-face high school delivery in Term 4, 2024. The successful applicant’s role will be vital in re-engaging our students with learning, particularly in the areas of literacy, numeracy, Design and Technology, and The Arts. Our goal is to enhance educational outcomes and foster a deep love for learning that can only be nurtured through direct, in-person interaction.
To be successful, you will ideally be a student and relationship focused teacher who is highly motivated, innovative, and able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as possessing an engaging teaching style. The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to successfully apply their knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum for Years 7 to Year 10.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Leonora District High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive of $17,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
